Ever wondered what does Network in ESN mean?
Let us tell you a story about more than 160 volunteers from 5 different countries gathered together to exchange best practices, attend workshops, facilitate collaborations and discuss topics such as international mobility and European citizenship.
At the end of October, ESN Catania took part, together with most of ESN Italy's sections, to the South Western European Platform 2022 in Toulouse, where the local section hosted and chaperoned the 160+ volunteers around the "Pink City".
Since the opening ceremony held at the city hall, according to the motto "Nothing to lose in Toulouse", the four-day long meeting was a journey in the hosting city and country culture, but also an exchange of any of the other participants' ones: from the international dinner to the fair, a space meant to share information and material about ESN sections, universities and institutional partners.
Four rounds of workshops alternated with presentations concerning the Erasmus Student Network and its main aims and values making this Regional Platform a great occasion for our delegates to get to know the work of the International board of ESN AISBL and compare the different volunteering realities one can experience in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal or Malta, not to forget the essential contribution of the extra-SWEP Eduk8 trainers adding to the count of countries involved.
